Industry knowledge

Jiangsu Youngcoln Medical Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of operating room table based in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province, China. We build nine table models across two families — electric operating tables and hydraulic operating tables — for operating rooms, obstetric delivery suites and gynaecology examination rooms, and we supply them to distributors, hospital project teams and OEM programmes in more than 90 countries.

Work in this category starts with the room rather than the catalogue: procedure mix, imaging equipment, transfer heights and the accessory set decide which table and which configuration leaves our factory. The welding, assembly, inspection and packing lines that produce our hospital beds and stretchers also carry the table programme, so table orders run inside a standardized manufacturing system rather than a separate workshop.

  • Nine surgical table models: seven electric, two manual hydraulic
  • Surgical, C-arm, obstetric delivery and gynaecology examination configurations
  • OEM branding, accessory sets and export packaging
  • CE Declaration of Conformity, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 documentation

Our OR Table Range

Our Operating Tables Manufacturers range is organised into two child categories, each with a defined job in the hospital.

Electric Operating Table

Seven models cover general surgery, C-arm procedures and obstetric delivery. BDOP01 is the standard electric surgical table; BDOP05 is configured for C-arm use in the operating room; BDOP07 and BDOP08 serve multi-purpose surgical and obstetric-gynaecology work; BDOP09 and BDOP09A are multi-function obstetric beds; BDOP03 is an electric birthing bed for hospital delivery rooms.

Electric operating tables suit rooms where height, tilt and backrest changes are made repeatedly through a list.

Hydraulic Operating Table

Two manual hydraulic models serve delivery rooms and examination rooms where positioning must not depend on the mains supply. KL-2C is a multifunction manual table for gynaecology examination and delivery; BDOP10 is a heavier manual maternity and gynaecology delivery bed.

The hydraulic operating table range is built around pump-driven height and tilt adjustment with mechanical locking at the working position.

Where Each Table Type Fits

  • Main operating room, general and orthopaedic surgery: electric table with a radiolucent top section and free C-arm travel around the column.
  • Obstetric delivery suite: electric or manual delivery beds with articulated backrest, leg supports and Trendelenburg for delivery and emergency manoeuvres.
  • Gynaecology examination and minor procedure rooms: compact manual hydraulic tables with lithotomy leg supports and a low access height for seated and standing work.
  • Emergency and minor surgery rooms: electric tables where rapid height and backrest changes matter; manual hydraulic tables where power continuity is a concern.

Each room type brings its own constraint. A C-arm room needs clear space under and around the top; a delivery room needs the bed to convert between labour, delivery and recovery positions without moving the patient; an examination room needs a footprint that still allows a clinician to work from both sides.

Configuration Variables We Confirm Before Production

Table specifications are fixed at order stage against the selected model's data sheet. The matrix below shows what each decision changes in the room and the information we need to close it.

Configuration area What it changes in the room What we need from you
Height range and stroke Working height for standing or seated surgery; match with trolley and stretcher transfer height Transfer equipment heights, surgeon preference
Trendelenburg, reverse Trendelenburg, lateral tilt Positioning for gynaecology, laparoscopic and shock protocols Procedure list and required tilt directions
Backrest and leg section articulation Lithotomy, sitting, delivery and recovery positions Delivery protocol, leg support type
Radiolucent top and C-arm clearance Intraoperative fluoroscopy without repositioning the patient Imaging equipment model and approach side
Side rails and accessory set Anaesthesia screen, arm boards, leg supports, straps, instrument support Accessory list per room, rail profile
Control set Hand controller, foot switch or manual pump; function count and layout Who operates the table and from where
Power supply and plug Compatibility with the room's electrical installation Voltage, frequency, plug standard
Mobility and floor locking Fixed installation versus movement between rooms; floor protection Floor finish, door widths, room sharing plan
Mattress and upholstery Pressure distribution, wipe-down cleaning, colour coding by department Thickness preference, cleaning agents used
Branding and packaging Distributor identity on the table and on the carton Logo files, label layout, carton marking

Electric and Hydraulic Positioning

The two families answer different operating conditions rather than different quality levels. Electric models remove physical effort from repeated repositioning; manual hydraulic models keep the table usable when the room has no reliable power or when the table is shared across departments.

Aspect Electric operating table Hydraulic operating table
Positioning drive Electric actuators with hand controller or foot switch Manual hydraulic pump with mechanical locking
Typical rooms Main operating rooms, C-arm rooms, obstetric theatres Delivery rooms, gynaecology examination rooms, minor procedure rooms
Power dependency Requires a compatible supply at the point of use Independent of the mains supply during positioning
Daily checks Controller response, cable condition, function limits, floor locks Pump response, locking engagement, fluid tightness, floor locks
Spare parts focus Controllers, actuators, cabling, casters, mattresses Pump assemblies, seals, locking mechanisms, casters, mattresses

Construction, Upholstery and Cleaning

Table construction follows one logic across the range: a welded steel base and column carry the articulated top, and the sections are joined so that the patient surface stays continuous through height, tilt and backrest movement. Welded frames are produced on our imported Japanese semi-automatic welding arm, which keeps joint geometry consistent between batches.

  • Sealed mattress covers that tolerate routine hospital disinfectants and allow wipe-down between cases
  • Smooth, crevice-free surfaces around the top sections and column to avoid fluid ingress
  • Removable or replaceable upholstery on models where the cover is a wear item
  • Floor-contact parts specified for the floor finish — antistatic or vinyl sheet in most theatres

Where a room also needs examination or recovery capacity, our medical examination couches share the same upholstery and frame approach and are often ordered in the same container.

Controls, Accessories and Operating Room Integration

Control layout is agreed at order stage: hand controller, foot switch or manual pump, with the function set matched to the model and the way the surgical team works. We confirm the cable route and controller rest position so the unit does not obstruct the anaesthesia side of the table.

  • Anaesthesia screen, arm boards, lithotomy leg supports, shoulder supports and body straps quoted as a set
  • Side rail profile confirmed so accessories from the hospital's existing stock fit
  • Caster braking and directional locking on mobile models; fixed bases where the table stays in one room
  • Accessory and rail positions checked against the imaging equipment's approach path

Manufacturing and Quality Control

Our 7,500 m² facility in Zhangjiagang runs welding, surface treatment, assembly, inspection, packing, finished-goods warehousing and container loading in workflow order, with production, QC, engineering and after-sales teams working on the same schedule. The company holds the Medical Device Manufacturing Enterprise License and operates under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, with CE certification supporting European project submissions.

  • Supplier management: key component suppliers audited for frames, casters, brakes and rails
  • IQC: incoming frame parts, casters and side rails checked before release to production
  • IPQC: welding and assembly steps inspected for structural and build consistency
  • FQC: appearance and function checks covering lifting, locking and adjustment
  • OQC: model, quantity, accessories and packaging labels confirmed before shipment

Our R&D team includes structural designers, process engineers and product developers, with electrical engineering support for the electric table lines, and roughly 10% of annual turnover is directed into new product development and product improvement.

Installation, Acceptance and Documentation

Tables ship in export cartons with foam and corner protection, loaded against a container plan that keeps accessory boxes with their parent unit. Average lead time across our lines is 22 days, and shipment documents are prepared for the destination market.

  • Pre-shipment function test of every positioning movement and lock
  • Acceptance checks on height and tilt travel, backrest and leg section, caster braking, accessory fit and electrical safety
  • Documentation pack: model data sheet, operation manual, packing list, CE Declaration of Conformity, ISO certificates
  • Spare parts support for casters, controllers, actuators, pumps, mattresses and leg supports
  • Operator briefing on daily checks and safe positioning limits

Frequently Asked Questions

Which operating table models does Youngcoln Medical manufacture?

We produce nine models in two families: seven electric operating tables (BDOP01, BDOP05, BDOP07, BDOP08, BDOP09, BDOP09A and BDOP03) and two manual hydraulic tables (KL-2C and BDOP10). The electric group covers surgical, C-arm and obstetric delivery work; the hydraulic group covers delivery and gynaecology examination rooms.

Can tables be supplied with our own brand and packaging?

Yes. We support OEM programmes with logo placement, label layout and carton marking, and we confirm the branding files together with the model configuration before production starts.

Are the tables compatible with C-arm imaging?

BDOP05 is configured for C-arm use in the operating room, and radiolucent top sections are confirmed per model. We check the imaging equipment's approach side and the free travel around the column when the room plan is supplied.

What documentation accompanies an operating table order?

Each shipment includes the model data sheet, operation manual and packing list. Compliance files include the CE Declaration of Conformity, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certificates, and the Medical Device Manufacturing Enterprise License for registration purposes.

How are tables packed and how long does delivery take?

Tables are packed in export cartons with foam and corner protection, with accessories boxed alongside their parent unit and loaded to a container plan. Average lead time across our production lines is 22 days, with shipment scheduling agreed at order confirmation.

Which parts should a hospital plan to keep in stock?

For electric tables, controllers, actuators, cabling, casters and mattresses are the usual wear and service items. For hydraulic tables, pump assemblies, seals and locking mechanisms are the equivalent items. We supply these as spare parts alongside new table orders.
